School of trades

Launched at the end of 2020, with full implementation in 2021, the School of Trades is a new training course that aims to qualify staff in the catering area by enhancing both technical and managerial skills.

Against the school of trades

Camst has always chosen to put people at the centre of its strategies, dedicating great energy to continuous training. This objective inspired the creation of the Academy in 2019: a ‘learning organisation’ set up to preside over the cooperative’s key knowledge and promote the exchange of information between people, fostering learning and the development of an increasingly aware workforce.

Among the initiatives linked to the Academy, there is also the School of Trades: a strategic internal training path launched at the end of 2020, which aims to qualify catering personnel through the enhancement of both technical and managerial skills. The school is based on five pillars: consolidating and standardising the training process; guaranteeing employees free access to structured growth paths, geared towards enhancing internal skills; fostering the engagement and development of talents motivated to ‘make a difference’, through knowledge enhancement; transmitting the cooperative’s culture, style and good practices; and supporting employability.

The project is driven by a team of professionals with long-standing experience in education and in the cooperative’s business sectors, working in synergy with educational experts, with the aim of ensuring easy access to knowledge for everyone – and not only for users with more developed digital skills. The training action started in June 2021 with a test phase that will consolidate its structure, contents and methods, and then proceed to dissemination throughout the territory and enlargement of the corporate population involved.
